End of 2025 Update

2025 was quite the year for us. Candice took full time classes at Chemeketa and continued on with WSET 4 (the diploma). Steve joined Candice for one of the Chemistry classes at Chemeketa.

Candice did a trip to Italy with her daughters in April. Those Italians really know how to live.

Starting in the fall of 2024, Steve had been dealing with his mom’s health issues pretty full time. He has also the primary caregiver for his father since early 2023. Sadly, his mom passed away in June.

Dealing with grief, mental overload, and physical exhaustion, we decided not to make wine in 2025. It was a sad decision to make, but we otherwise had a really enjoyable summer and fall going to our favorite wine bars and restaurants, visiting new ones, hanging out with friends, and doing a little trip with my kids to Eastern Oregon to see the Painted Hills.
